This programme is right for you if

Your child is between 15 and 19 and wants to move into a Swiss upper-secondary school and take the diploma here rather than at home.

Your child is finishing school abroad and you need a diploma that Swiss universities recognise.

You already hold a school-leaving certificate from a CIS country, an IB or a French Baccalauréat, and you are looking for a clear, direct way to make up the difference.

A first attempt at the Swiss Matura did not succeed and serious preparation for a resit is needed.

Small classes and individual attention from teachers matter to you more than a year group of 30.

You want a clear route to university: an assessment at the start and support all the way to the university application.

Not sure which route fits? Send an enquiry — we will assess the current level and suggest a path.

Why a standard CIS school-leaving certificate is often not enough

Swiss universities set their own requirements for international students. The Swiss Matura gives direct access to Switzerland's public universities, with no entrance examinations and no selection process.

Admission requirements at Swiss universities can change from year to year — please check the current rules with the school office.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Swiss Matura?

The Swiss federal school-leaving diploma (Maturité fédérale), recognised by every public university in Switzerland. It gives the right to enter EPFL, ETH Zürich, the University of Geneva and other universities without entrance examinations.

From what age can a student join?

Our students are aged 15 to 19, including those moving into upper-secondary school from another education system. Which year of the programme they start in is decided after an initial assessment.

Can a student enter EPFL or ETH Zürich with a CIS school-leaving certificate?

Not directly. With the Swiss Matura obtained at Léman Maturité, however, you have direct access to EPFL, ETH Zürich and the other public universities in Switzerland, with no selection process.

What happens if a student does not pass at the first attempt?

There is an intensive resit programme with an individual plan covering the subjects still to be passed.

Is the diploma recognised outside Switzerland?

The Swiss Matura is recognised by Switzerland's public universities and is taken into account by many universities abroad.

Is boarding compulsory?

No. Through our partnership with Chantemerle boarding with well-organised daily life is available for students from other regions and from abroad.
