We believe physical activity has a direct effect on academic results. Our programme allows students to combine intensive study with sport, whether at competitive or amateur level.
Football, basketball and volleyball. Team spirit and working with others build leadership.
Tennis, swimming and fitness, building discipline and personal achievement.
Zermatt 2 to 3 times a week, Villars once a month, plus Portes du Soleil and Les Diablerets.
Students have access to modern sports centres, courts and ski slopes near the school.
Modern halls for training and team games.
Professional surfaces, in use all year round.
Zermatt 2 to 3 times a week, Villars once a month, Portes du Soleil and Les Diablerets.
Local sports and golf clubs, with reduced rates for boarders.
For students who train seriously, we adapt the teaching timetable to the training and competition plan. An individual timetable, work with the coaches and academic tutors — so that the student can do well in both sport and study.
Every weekend and after lessons we organise activities that help students unwind and make friends.
Trips to Geneva, Lausanne and across Europe: museums, exhibitions and architecture.
Hiking in the mountains and time by Lake Geneva — the best way to recharge.
Creative workshops and themed evenings: room to express yourself and find new interests.
Visits to the headquarters of international organisations: the UN, the Red Cross and the IOC are all nearby.
Regular talks by outside speakers during the year: the environment, starting a company, Swiss politics and debating.
3 visits to Swiss universities each academic year, so that students can choose with their eyes open.
